Peacock DNA Project

The Peacock Family Association of the South has been in existence since the late 1970's and opens it's membership to anyone interested in Peacock ancestors.

In November 2002 we decided to utilize FTDNA (short for Family Tree DNA) to try and connect the various branches of the Peacock lines by doing DNA testing of volunteers in our organization and other Peacock branches.

Most members of the Association descend from Samuel Peacock I, but we hope to be able to find some connections with the other Peacock lines in the US, England, Canada, Scotland and Ireland.

We sincerely invite any male or female Peacock kin to join us in this research and utilize the DNA testing. We use the yDNA for males, mtDNA for females, and the new Family Finder test that both males and females can take.
