GEDCOM is short for "genealogical data communication" and is simply an organized text file that can be exported and imported between the various genealogy programs available. It can also be read as a text file in a line item form.

We would like to make this a central site of Peacock Gedcom files that can be shared with other researchers and family historians. If you have a gedcom, we'd be happy to:

1. Publish it here for others to download

2. Link to other Peacock web sites

Please do not publish genealogy information
of living persons.

A good rule of thumb: Don't publish genealogy information for anyone born after 1920. Many genealogist use GEDClean (freeware program) to remove living people from their Gedcom files.
