iv. George Washington Monroe Peacock (1829-60’s). Born and died Randolph County, N.C. Married 1847 Mary Dalberry (1821-87), moved to Jackson County, Ala., with only known child, William Thomas (1850-1934, m. Kary Elizabeth Miller).

v. Ephraim Peacock (l831-60’s). Born and died Randolph County, N.C. Md. 1857 Ruth Walls (1831-1900’s). Children: Alfred J. (1855-after 1910, m. Frances Hicks), John P. Swaney (1858, no further record). First not actually Ephraim’s son unless born before marriage,

vii. Margaret J. Peacock (1836-75), Married 1855 Lewis Phillips. Children: Elizabeth (1858), Ashley H. (1862), Samuel D. (1863), Mary E. (1867), Anna L (1870), Eliza (1875).

viii. Henry Lyndon Peacock (Born 1838. A Confederate Soldier who give his life for the South in 1864.). Born Randolph County, N.C. Married 1855 Martha E. Floyd. Children: Mariah (1856), William (1848-after 1910, wife Rachel, moved to Alamance County, N.C., by 1900, to Columbus County, N.C., by 1910), prob. Raber F. (1860,-after 1880, wife Martha).

ix. Rachel Elizabeth Peacock (1840-after 1870). Married 1861 Silas Wright, moved to Buncombe County. Children: Alexander (1861), Peter A. (1865), James I. (1869).

x. Amanda Mychelle Peacock (1842-after 1870). Married 1854 Asa Calicutt (1840-after 1870): Children in 1870: William (1865), Jacob (1867). Elijah (1869).

xi. Alexander C. Peacock (1844). No further record after 1860.
xii. Virgil S. Harris Peacock (1846-after 1865). Married 1865 Julia Adaline Russell. No further record found.

5. AZEL PEACOCK (1795-1865). Born Wayne County, N.C., died Davidson County, N.C. Married ca. 1820, Randolph County, N.C., Nancy Riley (1799-1870’s). A Baptist minister. Moved by l840 to Davidson County. Children:

i. Mary Peacock (1822). Married Levi Miller 1856, moved to Rowan County. Only child: Pleasant W.A. (1858).

ii. Lucinda Peacock (1823-88). Born Randolph County, N.C., died Davidson County, N.C. Married ca. 1847 Nathan Riley Harrison. Children: Elisabeth (1848-1920’s, m. Jesse V. Morris), Nancy A. (1850-1920, m. James C. Lanier), Branson I. (ca 1855-1938, m. Sallie Harris).

iii. Sarah Peacock (1825-97). Born prob. Randolph County, N.C., died Davidson County. Married ca. 1862 John Lanier (his second wife). Children: Solomon G. (1863-1908, m. Martha D. Snider), Sirena (1863?, m. Jefferson Glover).

iv. John Ashley Peacock (1831-93). Born pos. Randolph County, N.C., died Davidson County. Wife Mary A.. Children: Julian L. (1858-after 1900, m. Ella Duncan), Branson A. (1860-1936, m. Flora M. Cox, Mrs. Mary J. Prevo), Joel A. (1862-80’s?), James F. (1866-1932 m. Frances Williams, Mary E. Snider), Ulysses L. (1870-1933, m. Lulu Workman), Delia (1878, no further record found).

v. William Riley Peacock (1840-80’s?). Born and died Davidson County, N.C. Married ca. 1877 Martha Avery. Known children: Nancy (1878), Corrina (1882, m. John R. Gamer).

6. BENAJAH PEACOCK (1793-1880). Born Wayne County, N.C., died Hardin County, Tenn, Married 1823, Randolph County, N.C., Mary Hobbs. Moved by 1830 to Hardin County, Tenn. Three children shown in 1830, but only Zilpha among these has been confirmed. Others possible.

i. Nancy Peacock (c. 1824-after i860). Married a Johnson, Children Lewis (1844) and Isaac (l846) living with Nancy in Benajah Peacock household, 1860.

ii. Zilpha Peacock (c. 1827-49). Married James Elliot Nesbitt (1821-85). Children: Zilphia Tennessee (1842) William Monroe (1846-7), John Thomas (1848-1933, m. Frances Jane Hinkle, moved to Arkansas), Mary Estelle (1850-after 1870, living with Benajah Peacock, 1850-70, and pos. adopted by him).

iii. Jasper Newton Peacock (c. 1828-60’s). Living in Marshall County, Tenn., as of 1850. By 1860 with wife Sarah F. (1833) in Gibson County, Tenn, to which known members of Hardin County clan later moved. No known children,

iv. Sarah Peacock (1830-55?). Born and died Hardin County, Tenn. Married 1852, Joseph Crowder. Children Benjamin A. (l853). Nancy (1855).

v. William Peacock (1832-82). Born Hardin County, Tenn., died Johnson County, Tex. Married 1867, Hardin County, Tenn., Tincy L. Harcrove). Moved about 1871 to Johnson County, Tex. Children: Joseph P. (1869), Addie (l872), Ann (l873), Catherine (l874), Annie (1876), Benjamin S. (1878-after 1910, wife Susie C.), Eliza (l879) and possibly others.

vi. Barnabas Peacock (1834-50’s). Never married.

vii. James R. Peacock (1837-after 1880). Born Hardin County, Term,, died Gibson County, Tenn. Wife Nancy C. Moved to Missouri after The Ward Between The States; to Gibson County, Tenn., by 1880. Children found: Josephine (1859), Henry (1863). Sarah J. (l868), Margaret (l870), Charles (l872). No further record found on any.

viii. Ephriam Daniel. Peacock (1839-1900). Born Hardin County, Tenn., died Lawrence County, Ark. Married Charity A. Rozzell. Children: Anna Etta, (1868-after 1910, never m.), Arthur L. (1870-after 1965), md. Dora Little), Sarah E. (l872) md J Frank Ottinger, Lorena J. (l874), Pinckney Alberta “Bertie” (l880), Clarence Webstar (1882) md Lena Elaine Hamilton.
